"Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun" -Mary Lou Cook
My students are right brain thinkers.
They are creative, imaginative, and visual. They are future artists, designers, and photographers! I teach at a small charter school in North Carolina. We are a tight knit school community where teachers are committed to helping students reach their fullest potential whither that be a future scientist, graphic designer, of the next Ansel Adams. Many of my students have chosen to attend our school for its small class sizes and rich arts curriculum. My students are just starting high school. They exploring their interests and deciding where the future will take them. I want to give them the best arts education possible so that they can reach their fullest potential.
My Project
Having a diverse range of digital cameras in my classroom will broaden my students technological understanding of Photography. More cameras equals a smaller student to camera ratio. Students will be able to increase photo production which will improve photographic quality.
My project will not only significantly impact class learning and production, but it will also positively affect the entire school community.
Students will use the cameras to take photos for the yearbook. They will also learn camera techniques and functions.
The addition of three new cameras would give my students the tools for success. It would give them the opportunity to seek and capture beauty!
