BREMERTON — Pianist Luke Arnold, violist David Forman and violinist Sarah Jung won top honors in the Bremerton Symphony Association's 2017 Young Artist Competition, earning the opportunity to perform with the symphony in its season-ending concert in May.

Arnold, of Silverdale, a student at Central Kitsap High School, and Forman, from Port Orchard, were winners in the senior division, while Jung, a Bainbridge High School student, took the top junior division spot. Arnold is a student of Debra Florian, Forman studies with Simon James and Jung with Ron Patterson.

Honorable mention was accorded Owen Espinoza and Grace Winslow, piano students of Dr. Irene Bowling; and Lucinda and Mya King, piano students of Dr. Peter Mack.

Highest marks from the judges — but ineligible to win because they were winners last season — are Adrian King, piano student of Mack, and Caleb Winslow, piano student of Bowling.

Arnold, Forman Jung will perform in the symphony’s season finale concert May 13. Honorable mention and "highest-marks" recipients will perform in various concerts during the 2017-18 season.
