Good Morning!

We wanted to first send you some information on our widow's houses. The picture shows our 6th widow's house being constructed. This project is being funded by the Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church Women's Class. The wonderful women of this class and church are greatly appreciated and we want to thank them so much. The donations have allowed us to fully construct the sixth house for our wonderful widows.

Also, here is a photo of our current greenhouse project. We have approximately 12,000 plants that have been started over the last month. 

Following Hurricane Matthew, which absolutely devastated the southern peninsula of Haiti around the cities of Cayes and Jeremie, almost every garden was completely destroyed. Without gardens, people have no food or source of income. There are already reports that some people have starved to death without their gardens, or income from selling the items that they grow.

Because of this, we felt we would be able to contribute to the relief efforts from here in Haiti. So we have partnered with an individual doing relief work in the south with Christian Veterinary Mission to distribute these 12,000 plants to those farmers in need to help recoup their gardens, help them make an income, and share the love of Christ.

In the coming weeks, another local mission, Haiti Children's Home, will be using their truck to deliver these plants to southern Haiti.
