We need Point in Time Count Volunteers!

The January 2017 Point-In-Time (PIT) Count will be on Thursday, January 26th at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Volunteer slots are still available, but please note that we will be doing mobile data entry so volunteers will need to bring a smart phone or tablet (no laptops, please).

Evening volunteers are also being sought to survey at First Baptist Church, as well as volunteers to help prep for the survey during the day on Wednesday, January 18th. Email klammi@homewardva.org if interested for either of these opportunities.

Homeward conducts two Point-in-Time Counts each year (January and July) to help us better understand and respond to the needs of our neighbors experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Through this data collection, we are able to increase our impact and continue to end homelessness for our region's most vulnerable neighbors.

Home for the Winter Campaign

Homeward is facilitating a campaign to help accelerate housing for non-veteran, single adults in Greater Richmond. This is our largest sub-population of people experiencing homelessness, and community support can make a big difference in this work. In the media: National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day honored 30 people who died this year.
