February 1-March 5: Orchid Exhibit at Franklin Park Conservatory: Think Spring as you browse among thousands of orchid blooms and tropical plants, artfully arranged in a feast for the senses.
February 3-5: AAA Great Vacations Travel Expo, Greater Columbus Convention Center: Explore exciting travel destination ideas from around the country. There are live shows with special guests and hands-on exhibits for the kids. Food and beverages available. The expo is an adventure in itself!
February 3-26: Blue Jackets Winter Park: McFerson Commons becomes a winter recreation haven with an NHL-sized ice rink for public skating, hockey and community events. Skate rental available. Heated locker rooms and viewing tent. The north end of the park features a 2-lane, 6-foot tall slide for the kids.
February 4, 11, 18 & 25: Worthington Winter Farmer’s Market: The winter market is held indoors at the Shops at Worthington Place, every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Shop locally-produced foods and meet the wonderful people who create them.
February 18: Polar Plunge at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium: See local teams “freezin’ for a reason” as they dive in cold water to raise money for the Special Olympics. Form your own team and participate in this cold and courageous fundraiser, or take the easy route and donate $30 to enjoy the post-plunge party.
