UTPB men's basketball locked up its spot in the 2015 Heartland Conference Championships Satudray afternoon, ending the regular season and its final home appeareance witha 92-60 defeat of Oklahoma Christian in Odessa.
UTPB built up a double-digit lead, 18-8, in the first four and a half minutes and never led by fewer than 10 points the rest of the night.
The Falcons carried a 55-23 lead into halftime behind a 10-19 team effort from three-point range in the first half.
The Falcons lead never dipped below 25 points in the second half and UTPB led by as many as 41 points when Andre Reider hit a pair at the free throw line.
Madison Turner led all players with 20 points on the day, hitting 6-8 from 3-point range and shooting 6-9 from the field. Thom Feeney added 18 points as the Falcons also got 15 points from
Scooter Holmes on a 7-10 day from the field and a 12 point aternoon from
Xavier Martin.
The Falcons move on to next week's Heartland Conference Men's Basketbal Championships, hosted by St. Mary's in San Antonio, Texas.
