NCAA Division II Championships Pole Vault results

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Missouri S&T's Lucas Rosenbaum (Sidney, Neb./Sidney HS) finished in a tie for 12th place Saturday in the pole vault competition at the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships at Grand Valley State University.

Rosenbaum, competing at the national meet for the first time and lone individual from S&T taking part in the national meet this season, finished in a tie with Tiffin's Theo Mancheron for the 12th place spot in the competition.

After clearing the opening height of 15-9 on his first attempt, Rosenbaum cleared 16-2¼ on his third try before bowing out at what would have been a career-best 16-6¾.

Rosenbaum was the only competitor in the pole vault from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Cal Poly Pomona's Justin Ellerbee won the pole vault with a final clearance of 17-6½, while Jordan Yamoah of Texas A&M-Kingsville placed second at 17-2¾ and Pittsburg State's Jeff Piepenbrink took third at the same height, but had one more miss over the course of the event.
