MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello Department of Athletics is currently conducting its annual UAM Sports Association Membership Drive with different levels of giving and member benefits to suit every supporter.

The UAM Sports Association is the exclusive private fundraising arm of UAM Athletics. Its mission is to provide private support to UAM Athletic teams, allowing more than 200 Boll Weevil and Cotton Blossom student-athletes to excel in competition.

Contributions may be directed to the UAMSA General Fund or earmarked for a specific program. Recent contributions have led the renovations of Weevils Field and Blossoms Field, the home facilities of the UAM baseball and softball programs.  Other contributions have produced a first-class weight-training facility for all student-athletes, a top-of-the-line basketball shooting machine and other improvements, such as new team bench seating for use inside Steelman Field House. UAMSA funding also provides championship rings for teams winning regular season or postseason conference titles.

Memberships start at just $50 per year. Contributions can be made via cash, check and online credit card transactions. For more information about the different levels of giving and to donate online, visit the UAMSA website.
