"The Book of Forgiving: The Fourfold Path for Healing Ourselves and Our World "
by:Archbishop Desmond Tutu & Mpho Tutu
The Book of Forgiving, written together by the Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and his daughter Revd Mpho Tutu, offers a deeply personal testament and guide to the process of forgiveness.
All of us have at times needed both to forgive and be forgiven - whether small, everyday harms or real traumas. But the path to forgiveness is not easy, and the process unclear. How do we let go of resentment when we have been harmed, at times irreparably? How do we forgive and still pursue justice? How do we heal our hearts, and move on? How do we forgive ourselves for the harm we have caused others? Drawing on his memories of reconciliation in post-apartheid South Africa, Archbishop Desmond Tutu has identified four concrete steps to forgiveness through which we must all pass if we are to reach our destination: 1) Admitting the wrong and acknowledging the harm 2) Telling one's story and witnessing the anguish 3) Asking for forgiveness and granting forgiveness 4) Renewing or releasing the relationship Each chapter contains reflections and personal stories, as well as exercises for practising each step of the path.
The Book of Forgiving is a touchstone and tool for anyone seeking the freedom of forgiveness: an inspiring guide to healing ourselves and creating a more united world.
‘Wahawy ya Wahawy’ Ramadan calendar box for children.
The calendar includes a variety of treats within the 30 numbered ‘surprise’ slots for the 30 days of Ramadan… followed by a bigger slot for Eid Al Fitr which has a few more treats.
It is an easy to use tool that can help parents encourage their children to practice good deeds during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan like fasting for few hours, praying or help in charitable deeds. Everyday during the the month , the parents will reward the child by allowing him/her to pop open the daily slots and enjoy the surprise inside.
The course will act as an extended masterclass looking at various techniques and exercises to open up and improve writing skills. Work with metaphor and imagery, create texts and narratives to given themes and word counts, as well as free writing.
There is no criteria other than a willingness to open up one's writing; the course is designed that people of varying writing experience can participate and each draw their individual benefits.

“Keep Your Cool in Ramadan"
by: Dina Omar
Ramadan is the month of Spiritual Training. It’s all about learning peace and serenity, adopting virtues, and avoiding indecent actions, words and thoughts.
In other words, Ramadan is the month of committed self-improvement.
But there’s a problem: it's getting harder and harder each year. There's the nicotine and caffeine withdrawal. The oppressive summer heat and its long days that seem to never end. Poor concentration. Migraines. Faintness.
As the body accommodates to this new lifestyle, it becomes increasingly difficult to control our impulses, and so the holy month becomes synonymous with bad temper, anger, mood swings, and impatience. We promise ourselves to be calm and peaceful, but we inevitably slide right into irritability and hot temper.
“Keep Your Cool in Ramadan†is a relaxation training program designed and run by Dina Omar, specifically tailored to help you attract those desired feelings of calm and peace, and truly make this Ramadan a month of well-being and self improvement.
In this program, Dina invites you to join her, twice a week for the whole month, to relax, learn, and grow. Over the 4 weeks of this Ramadan, she will guide you through 8 different types of relaxation therapies, showing you how easy and fun relaxation can be, and helping you make this the best Ramadan ever.
Remember to bring a yoga mat, a small rug, or any "kleem" mat. If none is available, Dina will provide one for you.
Dates: Every Sunday and Tuesday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, starting June 21st.
Fees: one-time payment of 700 L.E., including all 8 sessions for the entire month.
