Happy Memorial Day!

Although this is a day to celebrate our freedoms as a nation, somehow wishing each other a meaningful and somber Memorial Day, seems more in order, right? Especially because the holiday was begun in response to the "unprecedented carnage of the Civil War, in which some 620,000 soldiers on both sides died," says David Holzel in a 2008 blog post to mental_floss magazine. David's article 10 Things to Remember About Memorial Day goes on to say that the holiday was first known as "Decoration Day for the practice of decorating graves with flowers wreaths, and flags." What I personally found most interesting (along with the Rolling Thunder paragraph) is the 'call to action' in the article's last paragraph. "In 2000, Congress established a National Moment of Remembrance, which asks Americans to pause for one minute at 3pm in an act of national unity." So in the spirit of community, let's all take that moment... and in the spirit of our Holistic Empowerment common-unity, let's all make that moment about world peace = no more wars!!! xoxo

In our last newsletter I announced that we at TCHE are taking this summer to re-create ourselves, and we won't be holding any monthly open houses. We are however, planning to hold our first Holistic Health Fest on Sunday, July 12th. This will be an all day affair with a small admission fee to contribute toward the formation of our 501c. We will have services and vendors of all things related to holistic health, readers, Aura Photos, outdoor activities for grownups and kids, too. See article below and stay tuned for more details as the summer progresses. If you are a vendor or provider of holistic services and would like to have a table, let us know, asap. Spaces are filling up fast.

Are you interested in getting in on the ground floor of a 501c for Mastering Wellness and Holistic Empowerment? If so, please be sure and contact Celeste or TCHE member Sue Anderson. We are in need of officers and a board of directors. Also, TCHE is looking for a Director of Events & Marketing. We cant offer a salary, but there is training available and money to be made by the right person with an entrepreneurial spirit. Give Celeste a call to see if you qualify.

If you are a holistic practitioner looking for a community with marketing opportunities- contact Celeste to become a TCHE member-you will be astounded at all the benefits membership offers. And if you are a professional practitioner looking for a new home- look no further! We still have some terrific shares available- beautiful healing rooms already set up with tables and/or some lovely talk therapy rooms to share. Don't miss out on these great opportunities, spaces are filling up fast.
