Basketball's Jordan Wejnert Named to NABC's 2013-14 Honors Court

Kansas City, Mo.- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced that Georgian Court University's Jordan Wejnert has been selected to the 2013-14 NABC Honors Court, which recognizes men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.

Wejnert, a Point Pleasant, N.J. native and communications major, recently completed his junior year with the Lions, compiling a 3.58 grade-point avarage. The 2013-14 Georgian Court Male Athlete of the Year averaged 19.6 points-per-game and scored 509 points in 26 games last season, which included double-digit scoring efforts in 24 of those contests.

In order to be selected to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria,  which includes:

1) Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
2) Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2013-14 academic year.
3) Students must have martriculated at least one year at their institution.
4) Member of an NCAA Division I, II, II, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.


A record number 895 student-athletes from 335 colleges and universities earned NABC Honors Court distinction this year.
