Charges: traffic incident, Nambour

A police Constable has been stood down after an investigation into a traffic incident involving a car and pocket motor bike in Nambour yesterday morning.

Initial investigations indicate the vehicles collided in Kerns Court about 8.15am.

The person riding the pocket bike, a 13-year-old boy, left the scene on foot. He was not injured.

The car was driven by an off-duty police officer.

The Constable has been issued with a Notice to Appear for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and is scheduled to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on August 28.

The Ethical Standards Command is assisting Sunshine Coast District with this investigation.
