Nicolas Platret led the University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's golf team with a one under par 71 in the final round of the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the New Mexico State University Golf Course.
Platret shaved off seven strokes from his second round score as he finished in a tie for 43
rd with a three-round score of 220 (73,77,70). Junior
Ramon Ventura-Camp posted the best finish for the Broncs as he finished in a tie for 36
th after shooting a final round 74. Ventura-Camp finished with a three-round score of 218 (72,72,74).

Peter Fox posted a final round 78 as he finished in a tie for 68
th with a three-round score of 228 (76,74,78). Senior
Chris Felix finished in 75
th after shooting a final round 79 for a three-round score of 233 (77,77,79) and sophomore
Gareth Saxon finished in a tie for 76
th after shooting a final round 78 for a three-round score of 235 (81,76,78).
New Mexico State's Brett Walker, Pat Beyhan and Luis Medina each tied for the top spot in the tournament after posting a three-round score of 206.
As a team, the Broncs shot a final round 300 to finish with a three-round score of 897 as they finished in 13
th place. Tournament host New Mexico State won the team championship with a three-round score of 834.
The Broncs have some time off before they compete at the Arkansas State Fall Beach Classic on November 3.
