Iuka to Corinth

$1.99 for the next 7 days!

We hit publish this week on the third novel in the Shiloh Series and are offering it to our fans for a third off the regular price of $4.99.

By August of 1862 Federal forces have been forced back off of the Virginia peninsula and General McClellan cashiered. His replacement does little better and the Army of the Potomac under General John Pope will go on to defeat at 2nd Bull Run and General Jackson will continue to harass Union forces in the Shenandoah Valley. In the west, things are looking brighter for the Federals but the Confederates are not idle in Tennessee and Mississippi either. As September starts, Confederate Braxton Bragg begins his move into Kentucky, sweeping Federal forces out of Alabama, eastern Tennessee while Union General Grant is caught with his armies too spread out to mutually support the crucial railroad hub of Corinth, Mississippi.

Beginning with a small action at Iuka, Mississippi Confederates under Earl Van Dorn and Sterling Price begin setting in motion what will ultimately seal the fate of northern Mississippi and Western Tennessee for the remainder of the war.

With commission in hand and his brother newly volunteered, Philip Pearson begins his journey to join with his new regiment but the coming war clouds are going to divert he and 25 "fresh fish" into harms way. Will Hunter and Stephen Murdoch made it out of Ohio by the skin of their teeth, but for the appearance of a single man will Hunter's plans be altered.

If you took advantage of the free ARC version, the final version has story changes, enhancements, and in general the rough edges smoothed out that I think provides for a cleaner read, especially for the Michael Grierson character.
