A nine-year-old boy with cerebral palsy who found freedom with a specially-modified bike is devastated after it was stolen from in front of his West End home last night.
“He just got it this year,” said his mom, Rochelle Richards, who bought it for her son Shaden second-hand and had it adapted for him. “It’s given him the independence and freedom he’s always wanted.”
She said the three-wheeled bike is modified for a “special person” and was locked up in front of their home on Valour Road and at about 7 p.m. Tuesday it was taken. She’s called police and is trying to get the word out about the missing bike and hoping social media and mainstream media will help see Shaden’s bike returned.
