Make of this what you will but former St. Louis Rams defensive end Michael Sam has been invited to Monday Night Raw next week in Baltimore by the WWE and will be given an open mic.

What does this mean?

Who knows other than a mega-publicity stunt by the WWE, whose show will oppose a pair of NFL games next Monday night.

If Sam has a shred of sense, he’ll stay far away. It’s likely to setup a SportsCenter moment for the WWE more than give Sam a bump.

If he ever wants to play an NFL down anytime soon, he’ll stay far, far away.
