Firearm and drug charges, Kippa Ring

Police have charged a man following the discovery of a number of firearms and drugs in Kippa Ring yesterday morning.

Whilst police were on patrol in High Street Kippa Ring they had cause to speak with a man who was seen near a number industrial sheds.

Police approached the man, and will allege he was in possession of a firearm.

Police will further allege after an emergent search of a nearby industrial shed and an address in Albany Creek reveled a further 11 firearms and a quantity of drugs including methyl amphetamine, cannabis, steroids, explosives and ammunition.

A 43-year-old Albany Creek man has been charged with a number of weapons and drug charges and is due to appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court on April 28.
