We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am going to take on the Everesting cyling challenge to raise money for Cancer research in the memory of my uncle, Steve Duncan, who passed away from cancer last year.

I am planning to take on the challenge on Monday the 10th of August 2015. The challenge involves riding up a chosen hill on my bike enough times to gain the same elevation as the height of Mount Everest - 8,848 metres. The challenge rules can be seen here:

http://www.everesting.cc/the-rules/

I have chosen to do this on one of the sections of Beachy head as it should be easy to turn around each time and it will have low traffic. Over this section I can gain roughly 106 metres of elevation per repetition so I will need to do 84 laps to complete the challenge.

I predict each lap, from the bottom to the top and back down again will take roughly 12 minutes and so I will be looking at around 17 hours of riding time. Lucky I like cycling . . .

Thank you for visiting my page and please donate what you can. Cancer is a horrible disease and affects many people every day, its about time it was stopped!
