Unlocking the secrets of Cairngorms snow

The snow that survives all summer on Scotland's mountains has long proved to be a source of fascination for hill walkers and climbers.

Heavy snowfalls on high ground last winter helped ensure a record season for summer snow hunters, who are now using new drone technology.
