The paper discussed teacher preparedness for effective management of inclusive classrooms for pre-lingual children with Hearing impairment, as well as examined the current teacher preparation programs to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses. The areas of weaknesses were analysed to provide basis for initiatives and innovations in both teacher preparation and teacher service delivery in the classroom in our public schools. The challenges to the achievement of these targets were discussed upon which some recommendations were provided for improvement.
