In not totally unexpected news, the giant Williams-Sonoma near the Bloomingdale's flagship is on its way out. But luckily for cooking aficionados (and wannabes alike), everything in the store is 40% off, Madison Avenue Spy reports. Since the well-made kitchen brands that it carries—think Cuisinart, Kitchen Aid, and Nespresso—rarely go on sale, now is the time to upgrade those small appliances.

Though the official closing date hasn't yet been announced, the shopping blogger points out that the good stuff is likely to go quickly despite the likelihood of increased discounts in the coming weeks. We wouldn't be surprised if the retailer pulls a Crate & Barrel and disappears quickly, to be honest.

As for the Pottery Barn next door that may or may not be part of this real estate deal, we haven't heard word of its closing—if you pop by Williams-Sonoma in the coming days, let us know in the comments section (or email tips@racked.com) if you see any suspicious, too-good-to-be-true sales.
