With the marriage of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon reportedly “going to the dogs,” it is perhaps no wonder that now, the celebrity couple are in a battle over who gets custody of their canines. A prenup they both signed has pretty much ruled out any fighting in court over their combined fortune, but they are still engaged in a bitter custody battle over who gets their eight dogs.
Mariah Carey, 45, and Nick Cannon, 34, have, presumably, come to terms regarding the terms of custody of their twins, daughter Monroe and son, Moroccan. Of course, there are only two of them. Their eight dogs, Speak E Beans, Cha, JJ, The Good Reverend Pow Jackson, Jill E Beans, Jackie Lambchops, Pipitty Jackson, and Mutley P Gore Jackson The Third, though, have made the mathematics of the whole equation much trickier.
While Nick Cannon has stated that he wishes Mariah “the best,” that, apparently, does not include her getting custody of any of the canines he would like to claim as his own. A person has to set some limits and Cannon’s seem to involve man’s best friends, dogs.
Just a few brief years ago, on April 8, 2008, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were married on a private island that Carey owns in the Bahamas. They had been dating for six weeks, but that was enough for them to think that they had a love for each other that would last forever. However, this past August, tafter six years of matrimony, the couple split up. Mariah has reportedly accused Nick of infidelity and Cannon is still undergoing treatments to remove a tattoo he had done of Mariah’s beautiful visage.
Nick Cannon has discovered that Love can often hurt, but having a tattoo removed can hurt even more. He has stated that he is “still probably like six more sessions away,” from having it removed entirely.
Cannon, who was the host of America’s Got Talent, has decided to put himself into the role of being an entertainer with more focus than ever before. He has said that his “lifelong goal,” has been and always will be “to put a smile on others’ faces.”
No official reason has yet been given as to why the couple decided to split up after having been married for eight years, though rumors abound that Cannon was caught cheating on Carey. If so, he was perhaps putting smiles on the wrong person’s face and was busted out for his infidelities.
When he has been asked in interviews about the rumors, though, Nick has denied them, saying that infidelity had nothing to do with the break-up of his marriage to Mariah Carey. Also, Amber Rose, the model he manages who has been the subject of some of the rumors, has denied ever having had sexual relations with Cannon.
Dogs are not just man’s best friend, but also woman’s best friend. Mariah Carey considers the canines that she and Nick accumulated over their marriage to be hers, rather than Nick’s. After all, they seem to have had more of a sense of loyalty towards her, if the rumors of Cannon’s infidelity are true.
Nick insists that the couples’ main focus will always be on their twins, as it should be. However, with the canine custody battle that is currently raging between himself and singer, Mariah Carey, their secondary focus appears to be centered on their octuplets of the canine variety. They definitely are facing a hairy situation with the ongoing canine custody battle.
