Police have charged a 20-year-old Booroobin man after investigations into a fatal traffic crash that occurred on May 6 this year.
Police will allege that he was driving under the influence of alcohol when he crashed into a power pole on Maleny Stanely River Road, Maleny resulting in the death of a 20-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle.
The man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of liquor, driving with a disqualified drivers licence.
He is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on August 4.
