CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel volleyball team heads to Johnson City, Tenn., for a mid-week clash with East Tennessee State on Tuesday at 6 p.m. It marks the first meeting of the two schools on the court since the Buccaneers departure from the Southern Conference in 2004.
The Bulldogs (6-17, 0-8 SoCon), led offensively by
Bailey Kernodle (181 kills) and
Dominique Williams (129), are looking to snap a four-match losing streak that began at UNCG on Oct. 11.
Meanwhile, East Tennessee State (10-13, 5-1 SoCon) wrapped up a weekend that included victories over Wofford (3-0) and Mercer (3-1). The Bucs lineup is led by Meredith Hardy (245 kills /107 total blocks) and Katie Muey (464 digs).
It is the first of three matches for The Citadel this week, who hosts Western Carolina (Friday, Oct. 24) and Furman (Saturday, Oct. 25).
