Theft of bronze moulds, South Brisbane

Police are seeking public assistance to identify the people responsible for stealing three tonnes of bronze, cast metal moulds from a South Brisbanfencee address.

The theft is believed to have occurred between 6pm Sunday night and 8am Monday morning, from a Montague Road business.

The moulds are used in the manufacture of glass bottles and are estimated to be valued at approximately $500,000.

Each mould is described as 300-400mm high, 150mm in diameter, circular in shape, come in two halves and weigh 10-15kgs.

Police would like to speak to the people (pictured) who were seen in the area at the time and may be able to assist.
