Tornado Causes Damage in Washington State

A tornado whipped up debris and caused some damage on Thursday in two cities along the Washington-Oregon border.

The Cowlitz County Department of Emergency Management said the tornado touched down in the city of Longview, Washington, CBS affiliate KIRO-TV in Seattle reported.

Initially, there were no reports of injuries.

The traveled about six blocks and died out within minutes, but residents in Longview and the neighboring city of Kelso reported on social media that they saw downed trees and power lines, flying metal, and damage to buildings, according to CBS affiliate KOIN-TV in Portland.
