Claflin University Women’s Basketball Releases 2014-15 Schedule

2014-15 Women's Basketball Schedule

Orangeburg, S.C.—
The Claflin University women's basketball program has released its 2014-15 schedule, which includes, a pair of contests against two Central Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (CIAA) members, two Peach Belt Conference members, nine non-conference matchups and 15 home games, including the first five.  For the second straight season, the Lady Panthers will open its season at home.
 
"It's always good when you can begin the season at home," said head coach Deont'a McChester, who is in his second season at the helm of the Lady Panthers.  "To play five straight games in front of your home fans will undoubtedly help boost the confidence of the team."
 
Claflin will open the season at home with Francis Marion on November 19.  The Lady Panthers will then host Northwood University for Homecoming on Nov. 22, Winston-Salem State (Nov. 25), Georgia Regents University (Dec. 1) and Fayetteville State (Dec. 6).
 
The Lady Panthers will play their next three games on the road beginning with Edward Waters in Jacksonville, Fla. on December 15.  Claflin will then face Winston-Salem State (Dec. 18) and Queens College-Charlotte on Dec. 20 to close out the 2014 calendar year.
 
Claflin will host Miles College on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 1:30 p.m. in its Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Play (SIAC) opener.
 
All Claflin home games are played at the Tullis Arena inside of the Jonas T. Kennedy Health and Physical Education Center on the campus of Claflin University.  You can keep up to date with the Claflin University women's basketball team and purchase tickets by visiting athletics.claflin.edu.  Live streaming for all home games will be available via pay-per-view on the Claflin athletics website.
