Creative Learning Labs are 2 ½ hour professional development workshops on a variety of topics pertinent to the needs of teaching artists and arts education providers.

STEAMOLOGY: The Power of Artful Learning led by Tyler and Monica Aiello from Eurekus
 

Join esteemed artists, educators and NASA consultants Tyler and Monica Aiello for an engaging workshop exploring the power of arts-integrated STEM learning. They design STEAM programs for NASA, K-12 schools, colleges and more, investigating STEM topics through the lens of arts and culture.

 

PM SESSION, 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm

Think Media Images: Exploring the World of 21st Century Literacy led by Laurie Chin Sayres from Labragirl Film Project

 

Are you media literate? Are you curious about the impact media images have on our students? This interactive session will discuss the importance of 21st century literacy in classrooms and review the nuts and bolts of media literacy education.

 

Light refreshments will be provided. If you are staying for both sessions, please bring a lunch, or you will have time to get lunch from nearby restaurants.  Workshops take place at the Think 360 Arts office: 135 Park Avenue West, Denver.

Pricing**:
One session / Half-day = $40*
Both sessions / Full-day = $60*

*If you are a Think 360 Arts Teaching Artist, you will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee upon completion of the workshop.

Practices in Arts Integration Workshop - October 10

This workshop is based on The Institute for Creative Teaching, our highly successful summer intensive, and is open to teachers of ALL grade levels and content areas.

Saturday, October 10, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Location: Polaris at Ebert Elementary School
  • Registration Fee: $70
  • Travel stipends are available to participants coming from outside the Denver metro area
  • All participants will receive 7 contact hours toward CDE license renewal. One half graduate credits are available through Adams State University for $27.50.
