The SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team rushed to a 2-0 lead in the opening 12 minutes of today's match at New Paltz enroute to a 3-1 victory against the Hawks. The win for Oneonta kept them unbeaten on the season while remaining on top of the SUNYAC with a 6-0-1 record.
Â
The 12-0-2 start for the Red Dragons has tied them for the best unbeaten start to a season in the program's history. In 1973, Oneonta began the season with the same record before dropping its final game of the year in the NCAA tournament to finish 12-1-2.
Â
The win for Oneonta also kept them a perfect 7-0 on the road including 5-0 in conference road games. The Red Dragons are now unbeaten in its last 19 SUNYAC regular season contests dating back to 2012. Oneonta has put together a record of 16-0-3 during that stretch.

"Another good road win," texted Head Coach
