Pdk920: Thank you for your reply. Key factors are that your tub isn't slippery on the bottom, you do have grab bars & it may not be as high off the ground or as deep as many of them are. The few times I personally used one of those tubs I was afraid I was going to be seriously injured.

Joanne: Many people mention that their tubs aren't flat, but curved, on the bottom. That would make an unpleasant difference. It's deep enough for a nice bath but doesn't seem much higher stepping in and out of than the old fiberglass tub, plus it's much easier to grip.

It was used originally (1922) in Oregon's first "Auto Park", forerunner of the motel, so was meant to be sturdy and practical for all users, I'd guess! I would definitely advise potential tub users to test getting in/out of any tub they're considering, new or old.

Should have picked a half-round sink with a higher back-splash. This bathroom has its eras jumbled. No reason to not have a medicine cabinet. New owner will add one I bet
