Rumors of a mysterious Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie collaboration have been circulating all year, but we had no idea it would be something like this! A spokesperson for the couple has confirmed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the reigning king and queen of Hollywood, secretly tied the knot last Saturday after nearly a decade together. US Magazine is reporting that the couple married in Chateau Miraval, their estate in France, in a private ceremony attended by close family and friends.

The couple, who have never showed much concern for convention, have been engaged since April of 2012. Back in May, Jolie had this to say about their long-delayed nuptials.

We’re just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right. We talk about it occasionally, and the kids talk about it with us.

Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding. They will in a way be the wedding planners. It’s going to be Disney or paintball – one or the other! We’ve got a lot of different personalities in the house. They’ve got some strong opinions. It will be fun. That’s the important thing. When we do it, it will feel like a great day for our family.

Though we doubt there was any paintball involved, all six kids were reportedly on hand to help celebrate the big day. Secret wedding ceremonies aside, this was already a big year for Brad and Angie, with her Maleficent performing so well, Unbroken generating such early Oscar buzz, and all eyes on his new war film Fury. With such a busy schedule, no wonder it took so long. Congratulations Angie and Brad!
