NOBLE SQUARE  — Three people accused of mugging a man and a woman in their 20s in Noble Square, with one man accused of groping the woman, will face charges of armed robbery and criminal sexual abuse on Tuesday, police said.

The man and woman were walking in the 1500 block of West Blackhawk Street at 2 a.m. Monday when a 27-year-old man pulled a gun from his waistband and stuck them up, police said.

"Give me what you got," the man told the two victimes.

The man gave the robber, who was with two others, his iPhone 5, a source said.

The mugger then turned to the woman and grabbed her chest, buttocks and pelvic area, a source said.

Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman, confirmed that the mugger "touched [the female victim] inappropriately" before taking $81 in cash from her and fleeing with the other two men.

Responding officers who were nearby arrested three men fitting the description of the alleged robbers. They were positively identified by the victims, Estrada said.

Both victims' property and the alleged robber's weapon were recovered. The gun was a black BB pistol, Estrada said.

Daniel Quinones, 21, of the 1200 block of North Greenview Avenue, and Robert Browley, 33, of the 1600 block of North Ashland Avenue, were both charged with two felony counts of armed robbery with a firearm.

Aldo Martinez, 27, of the 1200 block of North Springfield Avenue, was charged with two felony counts of armed robbery as well as one felony count of criminal sexual abuse.

All three men are scheduled to appear in Cook County Criminal Court on Tuesday.

The robbery took place in an area of Noble Square that has seen an uptick in crime in recent months and prompted an outdoor community policing meeting in August.
