Advance Readers Copy (ARC) provided for my blog via blog tour for an honest review

shelved it at 30% in. I can't even deal. After reading the first chapter I had to roll my eyes. I hate not finishing a book but I couldn't get into it. I loved the prologue. but after that it went down hill for me.

To me this book felt unrealistic how the characters talked was a main turn off, the main character is suppose to be in her 40's and sounds like a 14 year old.

The tragedy of 9/11 affected thousands of people and lives of the ones left were to be forever changed.
The prologue of this story will absolutely break your heart, even though this is a fictional story what happens in the prologue is a very real thing that happened on this sad day.

Gabriella is left widowed after her husband is killed in the 9/11 terror attacks. She is left to raise their beautiful twin daughters on her own.

“I’m not the only one who’s lost someone today, but in this moment my heart can only bear my own pain. I can’t think about anyone else when the one person who meant the world to me is no longer a part of it.” - Gabriella

Thirteen years later and they girls are about to graduate college. Gabby moved them all to California after living in New York became to unbearable to live with. Her focus has been on her daughters, always them and their needs first. As they are about to enter the work force and move forward into the world of adulthood, they both wish that their mum could do the same, have some fun and maybe meet someone.

On a girls night out with her daughters and her sister Gina, Gabriella meets a guy at the bar. His name is Caleb and he is gorgeous. Caleb has been in a bit of a rut in his life, he has some decisions to make about his future and he is tired of doing the same thing day in, day out. He wants to meet someone special to share his life with. When he sees Gabby sitting at the bar, she completely takes his breath away.

These two meet again when Caleb walks into the summer school classroom that Gabriella is teaching English in. Neither of them have stopped thinking about each other since they met and this new development is going to test them.

“The only man who’s ever managed to make me want to forget, to feel again, will be sitting in my classroom, undressing me with those eyes. This is going to be one hell of a semester.” – Gabriella

There is a huge attraction between these two and now it becomes even more enticing, as it is a forbidden Professor/student attraction. The pull between them becomes stronger that the fear of being caught and when they succumb to what their hearts and bodies want, it is beautiful.

“You saved me, Gabriella. Now let me save you.” – Caleb

This is a sweet story about letting yourself feel again, when you thought you never could. Two people who find each other, heal each other and just love.

Faith Andrews knows how to make you fall in love again and again. I was so lucky to get an early copy of this book and let me tell you, there's another HOT man to swoon over! He is just hot and dreamy.

Caleb… you are delicious! Wait til you meet him. OMG. Total Book Boyfriend material. This book had me laughing and in tears and I loved every moment of it! And Gabriella… I had a total girl-crush on her. She's been through so much after losing her husband and soulmate. She doesn't feel she can ever love again.

Fate throws the two of them together and it's magical! I don't want to give anything away, but there are twists and turns that you won't see coming. I love Faith's writing and I couldn't put this one down. Another home run! LOVED IT!!!

Wow, where to begin ...
In a world of YA and NA books, Feel Again is a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed everything about this book from start to finish, and I PROMISE that you will have goosebumps in the first 3 pages. I refuse to give away spoilers because this is one of those books that you just have to read ... and feel ... and fall in love with, and I pinky swear, you will fall in love with it. Faith Andrews did a beautiful job at creating a story about loss, love and hope and I cannot wait for more from these characters.

Faith Andrews has written one of the most beautiful love stories. Feel Again had a little of everything I love! The taboo aspect of the main characters’ relationship. A strong and hot couple.  And while I had an initial feeling that I would fall in love with this book, I was totally unprepared for the depths of that reality.

“Sometimes the best things in life are unexpected.”

Gabby's life has just made a sharp and unexpected change that has turned her world upside down in such a way she thinks she will never recover. In an attempt to allow the past to heal, she makes a move that will change her life in ways she cannot imagine and would only dream.

“I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for a chance like this.”

Caleb's arrival sets our minds buzzing with anticipation. He is THE player of all players. Just as Gabby, he is not expecting the sudden reversal in direction that his life is about to take, and is definitely not prepared for how it will expose many parts of his physical and emotional life that he had thought would never be possible.

“We’ll take it slow. I’m in no rush, baby. I’ve been waiting a lifetime for something this good.”

We become privy to the inner workings of the least likely to be paired together couple. First meetings and second meetings that leave us aching for more. As Gabby begins to allow herself to explore the feelings that Caleb evokes in her we begin to experience some of the most sensual and reviving moments. Their relationship is one that should not even be considered, but there in lies the beauty and draw. We watch as Caleb breathes life back into Gabby and she offers him something that he never knew existed, giving us one of the most beautiful contemporary romance stories.

“You make me want things I never knew I wanted.”

Faith Andrews wrote one of the most riveting introductions to a story. It picked me up out of my reading space and took me back to that day as if it was happening all over again. From the opening chapter I was held captive by the words on the page. This is a different kind of second chance love story. A second chance at love and a second chance at life. Renewal, reawakening, and experiencing a new love for the first time. Pennies from heaven made my already softened heart melt and I wasn’t even that far into the story. Caleb’s first impression of Gabby made my heart beat out of my chest. Then listening to Gabby's own point of view...purely magical!  Gina was a welcomed addition to the story, Gabby's ray of hope and sunshine. The interactions of Gabby, her sister and her daughters wooed me. There were so many moments when I wanted to wrap Gabby in a hug and let her cry it out. She went through so much, and was such a strong picture of femininity at its best. When Aubrey showed up I knew she would be trouble. The song that came to mind for her was "Maneater". Caleb's initial inner dialogue of fun and flirtatiousness was in stark contrast to the serious and stoic dialogue of Gabby. The synchronicity of characters increased the level of intensity.    I sank deeper and deeper into this new world that surrounded Gabby and Caleb. New heights and depths were reached in this story that made me continually beg for more.   If there were ever two lost souls that found home and a place in one another,  it was Gabby and Caleb. Go grab this book and let your heart soar.

“I’m not a spiritual man, but she just might be sent from heaven. She’s the type of woman who could change the whole game.”

I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy of Feel Again by Faith before it is released. The only reason for the 4+++* instead of 5* is because Keep Me will forever be my standard when it comes to Faith Andrews's books...
Let me first say I LOVE that Faith writes about older women/younger men, I love it!
This book, it got me from the prologue...I wasn't sure if I could even continue.
Feel Again is a story of second chances, of starting again, of picking up the pieces. It's a beautiful depiction of what can happen if you just open your heart and let yourself feel again. I'm so happy these 2 gave themselves the chance...
"I feel like I've been waiting forever for a chance like this."
Oh Caleb!
"Little did we know, together we filled all the gaping holes for each other."
Gabby is so deserving of someone to not only fill those gaping holes, but to overflow them!
You'll laugh, you'll definitely cry, you'll feel all the emotions Gabby and Caleb feel, and it will be so worth it.

Feel Again is a beautiful love story.

It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Faith Andrews and her phenomenal books. I’ve absolutely loved each and every one of her books to pieces. There’s just something about her writing, the way she creates her remarkable characters, and the emotionally driven stories she tells through her books.

I was not surprised one bit to find that I loved Feel Again immensely. I was taken in immediately with the emotional, beautiful, and spectacular story and characters within its pages.

Feel Again is hands down just a breathtaking story that tells a story of two people who know a heck of a lot about pain and loss, but are just beginning to see possibilities of light beyond all that darkness they feel. Gabriella and Caleb’s story is a journey as they explore what it could be like to open themselves up to the possibility of feeling again, of embracing again, of loving again.

Gabriella was such a real character to me. The things she felt and experienced felt so authentic to me, and that realness made her character come to life as I read her heart tugging story. It also made it so easy to connect and relate to her, even though I’ve never experienced anything like she has. That relatability and level of connection allowed me to understand and love her character more, and it gave me the remarkable chance to step into her shoes. Faith Andrews creates such an authentic female character with Gabriella, which allows all the doubts and questions, and love and feeling she has feel extraordinarily real because of how magnificently Gabriella’s character is created and developed.

I think I need a little bit more Caleb Waters in my life. His character oozed charm and a level of confidence that had my heart beating faster while simultaneously making me fall head over heels in adoration with him. There is so much more to Caleb than meets the eye, and Feel Again gives you the opportunity to see the true depth that there is to him. Getting to understand who Caleb is, will allow you the chance to see the amazingness that is him. Caleb is sweet, charmingly protective, and just a person looking for something he never knew he wanted. Caleb honestly just melted my heart throughout this entire book, and to say I loved his character is putting it too mildly.

The events of Feel Again force Caleb and Gabriella to push and fight. Both Caleb and Gabriella push each other to be more. They push each other to places they never thought they’d be or even knew they wanted to be. The level of fight that goes along with that pushing characterizes these two in the best possible way. Their story together isn’t an easy one. It’s filled with so many emotional and heart pulling moments, and that push and that fight from them for what they want will have you fighting like all get out right along with them in hopes that they actually get it.

Both Gabriella and Caleb have an immense amount of pain and loss in their respective pasts. Each has experienced their own darkness, and at the beginning of the story they’re still kind of living in that darkness. The events of this book allow both Caleb, but especially Gabriella the chance at overcoming that pain and loss. It gives them the opportunity to experience the lightness that they both deserve. Reading how these two attempt to overcome the pain and loss they’ve felt for so long is nothing short of breathtaking, and it’s going to pull at your heart in the best possible way.

I loved the family dynamics that come into play in Feel Again. Creating these unique, interesting, and truly engaging dynamics is one of Faith Andrews strong suits in my opinion. I loved reading these interactions and relationships that Gabriella and her family had. Each experience with these relationships made me smile, or made me feel something I’ve felt in my own family relationships, or made me feel even more connected into the story than I already was. The family relationships in Feel Again are fantastic, and they add just another phenomenal layer to Gabriella and Caleb’s story.

There are so many little pieces to this story that add up to make bigger pieces that just make a simply beautiful picture. There are the signs that speak volumes, and the interactions between all these wonderful characters, and then there’s the little nuances they all have. The glances, the feelings, the pushes and the pulls, and all the emotions in between. There are just so many little things that create big things that end up making something truly magnificent. And you will love the fact that you get to experience that. Trust me.

The level of feeling I had reading this story is one of the things I loved most about it. I didn’t just read this story and I didn’t just meet these characters. I felt this story, I experienced this story, and I was enveloped into this story fully. You will feel every big and little thing these characters do, and that will connect you into their story in an extraordinary way. At times my heart soared and at others it hurt like all get out, and in between there was plenty to smile at, instances that will bring a tear to your eye, and many moments that’ll warm your heart and your cheeks. You’re going to feel this story immensely and the enormity of what Caleb and Gabriella share together.

Feel Again is a poignant story about Caleb and Gabriella, and the chance they explore together as they attempt to overcome their pasts and see the light that they could share and feel together. Their story has its ups and its downs, and it’s not without sadness, but it’s also filled to the brim with so much hope and light.

I absolutely loved this book. Caleb and Gabriella’s journey together just really spoke to me and I loved how connected I felt to their characters. This book, these captivating characters, and their truly emotional story will have you feeling it all again in no time. I promise you.

I was lucky enough to read this book prior to release and loved it. Faith Andrews just knows how to write an incredible love story! Her books make you really feel what the characters are going through and she so easily has you falling in love with their story.

This book is a second-chance love story in a way, but for main character Gabriella it is also a chance to "feel again." Widowed and still carrying heavy grief from losing her husband, Gabriella is just going through the every day motions of living. She has twin daughters to look after, but even they can't fill the emptiness she feels.
Caleb has been sort of drifting through life. He doesn't have a steady career path in mind and he never finished the college degree he started. But, an ultimatum changes all of that and also brings him into Gabriella's life.
After a chance meeting, Caleb and Gabriella have an instant attraction for each other and let me tell you it was SMOKIN' hot!

This book is definitely a must read!

I loved this book, the characters of Gabby and Caleb were thrown together by fate and together they learned to love again and be better people. They didn't let there age difference bother them and even though she was his teacher their pull to one another couldn't be denied, the strength they gave each other was good and you could see and feel how happy Caleb made Gabby. Her love for her daughters and her sister got her through one of the worst times in her life and now she wants to live again and feel again and she believes Caleb is just the person to help her get there and he feels the same about her. Thank you Faith Andrews for such a wonderful and heartfelt story and i look forward to the next book :)!!!

I fell in the love with this story from the very beginning. The prologue blew me away and broke my heart at the same time. From that point on, Faith Andrews slowly and carefully pieced my heart together again. Gabriella learns that love is sometimes found where you least expect it and healing past wounds is possible when you open your heart. I think it's best to walk into this story blind, so I'll leave out specifics concerning the plot line. I thoroughly enjoyed this book highly recommend it! Great read. :)

Unrealistic and Far Too Much Sex

Never thought I was a prude, but I have to caution those of you that are offended by explicit sex scenes. The premise of the book was good, a 9/11 widow finally ready to move on with her life. But the execution was badly written and did not fit the character as she had been described. There was no romance, the characters went straight to bed and seemed to stay there. The additional characters were stereotyped and just not interesting. I regret bothering to finish this book.

This is a beautiful heart warming story about second chances.

Gabriella's heart is broken after losing her soulmate, her husband. She doesn't believe she will ever love again. Then she meets Caleb. He's totally hot.

This is their story. It's an emotional and well written story. The characters are great and I totally loved the storyline. The twists and turns were unpredictable and had me gasping!! I literally had goosebumps reading this story. Loved it.

4 Star Review by Jen Skewes

I love Faith Andrews writing and was so excited to read Feel Again. I loved the idea of a forbidden romance between a teach and student. And I love that the heroine, widow with grown woman falls in love with a younger man, especially when that man is Caleb. But what I loved most of all is that this is a second chance love story. And I don’t men a second chance for the two main characters but a second chance for the heroine.

Gabby lost the love of her life 10 years ago and has never opened herself up to another man since then. After her husband dies she moved across the country with her 10 year old twin girls. Staying in NY was too much of a reminder of what she lost and the life she had with her husband. She needed to get away from it all and in a way start over. It is now 10 years later and her girls are all grown up. Since losing her husband she has not been able to be with another man. Tommy was the love of her life and she just did not feel right moving on. Gabby’s sister and her daughters dare her to go our on a date, just one date and see what happens. Gabby decides to go out with them that night and she meets Caleb. There was an instant connection between the two of them but after that night she has no contact with him. And that is when fate steps in and bring these two together. Just in a way that makes anything between them completely forbidden and of limits.

Caleb was basically raised by his grandmother whom he loved an adored. He has no job, has sex with many woman and basically had no direction in life at all. But when he is faced with an ultimatum he has no choice but to try to do something with his life. He wants to be a better person, for himself and for his grandmother. He is done with sex with random girls. He needs to go to school, find a job, happiness and love. He meets Gabby one night at a bar and she is the most beautiful girl that he has ever seen. He feels the connection. But after that first night that they met he can’t stop thinking about her but hasn’t seen her since. Until he steps foot in his classroom and realizes that he is his teacher. Dating your teacher is completely off limits. But Caleb isn’t having it. He knows that there is something between them and he will prove it to Gabby. But is Gabby willing to take the risk and open up her heart to another man.

I really enjoyed this book. It gave you all of the feels that I love in a book. The prologue completely sucked me in. My heart just broke for Gabby. The scene was so real and so well written. You felt the emotions that she was going through. After her husband died her life was her and her daughters. The guilt of moving on, of thinking that she would forget her love if she did stopped her from finding love again. She raised her daughter and took care of them for the past ten years but they are all gown up and it is her time. It is time for Gabby to see that it is ok to move on. And that just because you move on does not mean that you forget. Caleb is the perfect person to help her realize that. He fell for her and fell hard. Not only was he her student but he was also much younger than her and in ways he taught her how to live. He helped her heal and move on. They faced some obstacles along the way, in the form of one crazy bitch, and let’s not forget the age difference, the guilt of moving on from a deceased husband oh and the fact that she is Caleb’s teacher. But there was nothing that would keep these two apart. Caleb and Gabby were adorable together and I was rooting for them all the way. Feel Again is a beautiful story of loss, love, second chances and learning how to love again. A fantastic job by Faith Andrews.

Even tragedy can lead to joy…

Gabriella Edwards had made a good life for herself and her girls in California. September 11th had taken away her beloved Tommy and sometimes she thought it had taken away her sanity as well. With the sudden loss of her Mom and Dad years before, losing her husband was more than she could bear. Uprooting the twins to start over far away from New York may have seemed cowardly but it was an act of survival. With her daughters now graduating from university, Gabby acknowledged the years had been lonely as she struggled to be a good mom. She still suffered guilt over the missteps she made when grief became overwhelming. Thank goodness for her sister Gina for picking up the pieces when she faltered. The girls were now beautiful and independent women so when nudged into a night at the club, Gabby believed it might be time for her to seek more. Little did she know a chance encounter would bring the biggest surprise of her life. Caleb was young, handsome and provided the first spark of interest she’d ever had in another man. Caleb, on the other hand, was partying for a different reason. He had known devastating loss as well and without an anchor he had been drifting. He had a purpose now and meeting Gabby gave him a focus even his grandmother hadn’t been able to provide. Despite the many reasons she knew their relationship couldn’t be, Gabby could not stop seeing him – and he felt the same. An unexpected adversary will trigger events that will push Gabby’s relationship with Caleb, and her daughters, to the breaking point. Would love survive?

This stand-alone work was the first book I’ve read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. While the plot revolves around Gabby and Caleb, their families and friends are integral elements to the story. Gabby’s daughters are everything to her and have been the focus of her life up to this point. The unexpected encounter with Caleb throws her for a loop and she uses any and all reasons to fight the attraction. The obstacles in their path are obvious with teacher-student rules and an age difference made more obvious by her daughters. Told through both Caleb and Gabby’s points of view, their inner voices bring a wealth of emotion and depth to a fresh re-telling of a second chance story. Caleb, especially, was strong yet vulnerable and showed his feelings through words and even tears. While not part of a formal series the author does acknowledge a few minor characters may be getting their own stories. I look forward to it!

Gabriella’s life is upturned in a matter of minutes and is never the same again. Ten years later, she is still learning to live without the love of her life, while those around her don’t consider what’s she’s living to be much of a life at all. Her family challenges her to step out of her comfort zone, take a chance and let someone in, even if it is only for one night.

That someone is Caleb, who has lived much of the past few years without direction or drive. His grandmother’s dying wish and a condition added to her will has pushed him to make some life changes. With everything else going on, the last thing he’s thinking about is his romantic future. Until he sees Gabriella.

Faith has a way of writing that makes you see and feel everything without drowning the reader in words. I hesitate to call it simple, because that would imply that writing that way is easy, when in fact, it takes skill that not all writers have.

I have to be honest and tell you that the prologue gutted me. Gabriella’s husband was in one of the Twin Towers on 9/11. I am originally from the tri-state area (NY-NJ-CT) and was living there at that time. It happened in my backyard. I was lucky enough not to lose anyone that day, but the stories of those who did suffer a personal loss were on my television in the weeks and months afterward. So the depiction of their last conversation...well, it still gives me chills just thinking about it. Knowing that Tommy died that day helped lend to understanding the extent of Gabriella’s grief and how and why she handled it the way she did. She moved to the opposite side of the country with her children and got as far away from every reminder that she could, because staying in New York would be a constant reminder of what and who was missing. I know this goes beyond the scope of the story, but the thought of Gabriella being at Ground Zero for the memorial ceremony each year, when they read the names of those lost and ring that bell, or watching it on TV (I don’t know how they do it in other parts of the country, but in that area, the ceremony is televised) makes me hurt for her. This is when I have to remind myself that Gabriella is a fictional character.

Which leads me to another aspect of Faith’s writing that I really enjoy. She writes characters who are all very real….even the ones that are cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs have something about them that makes them relatable. Every one of her books that I have read had characters that I felt I could have bumped into in real life. She’s created some of the best book boyfriends around, and Caleb is no exception Heck, if I had a shot with a guy like Caleb and he was 12 years my junior, I’d hop on that bus to cougar town!

If I have any complaint, it is that a character who shall remain nameless in order to avoid spoilers does not get his/her comeuppance before the book ends. I have heard from a little birdy, though, that this certain someone will be included in a future book focusing on two characters from Feel Again. So the Jersey Girl in me is holding out hope that there might be an ass-beating of some sort, even if it is only of the non-physical variety.

My blog, East Coast Book Chicks, was provided with an ARC of the book by the author in exchange for a review. This review will also appear on the blog and its GoodReads page.

From the synopsis, to the teasers, this one had me. And this story is different. I feel like I sometimes read the same types of stories over and over again. But I loved that our heroine Gabriella is this beautiful, 39 year old widow, mother of two 20 something twins just out of college. Gabriella is a college English professor and lives in Vegas; left NYC due to tragedy and a broken heart, and looking to just start over. Problem is she never really started over, she just stayed still; shut down, and just survived for her daughters.

The prologue…well that’s what really got me hooked. It had me in tears; and not just because of the nature of the content and the tragedy. It was the writing. I saw a different Faith Andrews. She evokes those feelings you need to draw you into her story. So…it was on.

The story of Gabriella and Caleb. AWWW…Caleb, I loved that he wasn’t this perfect, rich, well-to-do hottie, ready to take on the world, bang the girl and live HEA. Nope. He’s flawed. And just based on his story and background, I wanted to see him succeed. And get the girl and get his second chance at life.

Gabby and Caleb meet and sparks flying from that first moment. And then there’s the whole teacher/student thing…which makes for great angst, because you just never know when shit is gonna go down.

Their relationship is fresh, and new for Gabriella. I loved that Caleb was the one teaching her how to love, and feel again.

One thing I don’t like in a book is when love scenes are short. I love when an author is descriptive. And Faith gets my HOLLAS for mint love scenes. They go on for pages, and I never wanted to skim. Sometimes I skim, but not in this one. I felt every kiss, every touch. I think because I wanted to know what it was like for Gabby and Caleb to heal.

Again it was that prologue. I felt that connection to Gabby, so I needed to feel again for her.

The secondary characters in this book were a great support for this story as well. Gina, Gabby’s younger sister, a fire cracker lawyer from NYC was freaking great and comical as well as Gabby’s twin daughter’s Stella and Nina. Loved the back and forth dialog between Gabby and her daughters. You could feel their love, and their hurt.

Seeing the love between Gabriella and Caleb unfold was beautiful. But the last portion of the book had me biting nails. I was ready to cut a b*tch! Hells yeah!! We have one of those!! I think the last 25 % of Feel Again I was on speed read. I could not put it down.

Feel Again is a breathtaking story about second chances at love…and life. Everybody deserves one; its how you actually get there is what I loved reading about. So worth it and definitely MINT Approved!!

Feel Again is a sweet second chance romance with a little teacher/student thrown in on the side. Faith Andrews did a great job at setting up and executing this familiar story line, making it all her own.

Gabriella is a young widow scared to take a chance on love again. Losing her husband in the 9/11 tragedy was too much for her to handle, not to mention she was left alone with young twin girls. Doing the best she could with the help of her sister Gina, Gabriella has mothered her girls into smart, young adults ready to leave the nest. Moving the family from NY to CA years ago, the girls are thinking they are ready to head back to New York for school. This throws Gabriella into a bit of a tail spin and has her reevaluating her alone-ness. After being dared to ask a guy out, Gabriella heads out to the club with her daughters and sister to try and do just that.

Caleb is an overgrown kid. At twenty-seven he still doesn't have his life in order, drinking, fighting and sleeping around is how he's spending his days lately. With a tragic past of his own and the recent loss of his grandmother, Caleb is coasting thorough life, not really knowing what he wants. Until he sees her.

There is something about the beautiful Gabriella that Caleb can't shake, he wants to meet her and he does. The timing is perfect for Gabriella, as she's looking to complete the dare, not realizing that Caleb actually wants more. Not knowing why he is drawn to this woman, Caleb needs to find out more about her and he does, seeing that she's also his professor for the summer.

"I've wanted you since I first saw you. And now.....I want to make you mine." ~ Caleb

There actually is a reason Caleb is back in school and this thing with Gabriella makes it even easier for him to finally see his future. They are both overcoming pasts, carrying baggage and learning to move on, so they decide to do it together. Slowly.

"Gabriella, I'm not going anywhere. I feel like I've been waiting forever for a chance like this." ~ Caleb

There is more of a rocky road rather than smooth sailing for our May/December couple. With his crazy roommate, the fact that she's his professor, her kids and his grandmother, there's a lot to try and figure out. Lucky for us readers, Faith Andrews gives us plenty of sexy scenes while they do so.

The book is well written, flows nicely and the side characters are an interesting addition. It reads as a stand alone and we get an epilogue to complete Caleb and Gabriella's story.

Feel Again was a different type of book for Faith Andrews to deliver. I want to commend her for writing something fresh and different. The main character isn't a 20-something trying to find herself, she is an older woman who has been dealt one of the toughest hands life can deliver. The journey she takes Gabriella on is riddled with ups and downs. It was masterfully thought out and extremely well written.

The prologue absolutely gutted me to the point where I had to stop reading for a few minutes because I couldn't see past the tears. Thankfully, the rest of the book doesn't look back. It is now years later and Gabriella has moved to try and escape the memories from her past that haunt her. She jumped into living for her twin daughters and not herself as a means to survive. Well now her girls are grown and ready to start the next phase of their lives. So what do they do, they dare mom to date someone. Enter Caleb.

Sweet, sexy, giving Caleb. He has had enough of the run around, he is ready to settle his life down. When he meets Gabriella, it was like his world got tilted back onto its axis. I loved how immediate and deep their connection was. The way they were able to be playful and serious together only added to their charm. The relationship Gabby & Caleb forge is honest and pure but riddled with challenges. They are attacked from all sides it seems and the only ones who are fighting for them to make it are themselves. To be honest, when everything came to a head, I wanted more of a showdown. There was such a build up that how things ended up seemed a bit anti-climatic (but I am glad things turned out the way they did). The conclusion to that whole mess suited them both perfectly, understated and classy.

The interactions between Gabby and her daughters provided a bit of lightness and humor that this book needed. And thank goodness for Gabby's sister Gina. She was funny, savvy and at times brutally honest. She loves her sister and nieces and would go to bat for them in a heartbeat. These women made it much easier to see Gabriella's vulnerability which only made her easier to like and relate to.

Feel Again delivered quite the emotional punch to the heart. I found myself laughing, sobbing, smiling and getting angry for Gabby and Caleb. It is a love story but it is also so much more. It is a story about letting go of the past and letting yourself be free and open to the possibilities of a future. Faith Andrews hinted that there may just be a book about some of the other characters in this book and I hope that happens.

3.5 “nickle” stars

Some reviews are hard to write and I feel like this is one of those. I have been a huge fan of this author’s work since day one and am having a hard time with Feel Again because I wasn’t wowed by it. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy it, because I did! But I went in to this story thinking I would fall in love with her work, again. I loved the idea of this plot!! It’s one of those stories that may not appeal to all due to the age and student/teacher issues. But it’s not like most will think initially.

“Me—widowed, middle-aged, Gabriella Edwards used the term booty call.”

Gabriella and Caleb’s story is different. Plus, age is just a number in my opinion. Even though I couldn’t totally connect with these characters, it didn’t mean that I didn’t understand where they were coming from when it comes to their love for one another. Their love was never what bothered me about this story. I think it was more the timeline I had issues with. But, as I always say, that is just personal preference and what irks me may be what the next reader loves about this story. Different strokes for different folks ;)

“Wow, really? I guess I’ve still got it! Too bad I don’t use whatever it is.”

This story is full of loveable and grating characters. My favorites were Gabriella’s daughters and sister. They delivered the humor into this very emotional story. From page one it’s a ton of emotion. The author did a fabulous job with the prologue. It definitely pulls you in quickly!

“Don’t you think it’s time I finally grow the hell up and settle down with a girl who doesn’t belong to someone else? I wasted so much fucking time, doing meaningless shit. It’s just not fun anymore.”

I found it funny that these characters almost change positions in the very beginning. You have the playboy who changes his ways when he meets Gabriella. But then Gabriella tries to play it cool and just enjoy a fling. We know that’s not how it’s all going to go down. Gotta add that little bit of drama into the mix. And that drama’s name is Aubrey. I knew from the very beginning she was going to be a problem. Even before she was introduced to Caleb. There’s always one, right ;) 

I hope in this review you can tell that this is a good story. Maybe not a 5 star read for me, but definitely has the potential to be a star read for many people. This author is still one of my favorites and I will still be anxiously awaiting her next book :) 
