Robbery, Stretton

Police are investigating after a man was robbed and had his car stolen at Stretton earlier this evening.

Around 7pm a 35-year-old man was in his vehicle, parked near the intersection of Birchwood Place and The Parkway, Stretton when he was approached by a man and a woman who got in the vehicle.

The man intimated he was armed with a firearm and demanded the man attend an ATM.

The man withdrew cash from a Calamvale ATM and handed it over to the pair.

They then returned the man to the vicinity of Spruce Bark Court before driving off in the grey 2013 BMW X5.

The vehicle was later located on the Logan Motorway at Heathwood after it had been set alight and damaged by fire.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early 20s, about 175cm tall with a slim build.

The woman is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in her early 20s, about 165 – 170cm tall with a slim build and short curly hair.

Investigations are continuing.
