Assist HAUL staff with family literacy events through GENLITES program – these activities occur at schools, childcare centers, churches, etc. within the Houston metropolitan area. Duties include assisting HAUL staff with ensuring literacy workshops for are successful; Maintain a high level of behavioral expectations; Collect client data and program surveys/evaluations; Distribute books, worksheets, supplies, etc.
The individual will assist HAUL staff efforts to provide fun-filled, literacy activities and trainings at HISD elementary schools. Locations will be provided upon interest. The event will occur at schools 24 HISD schools before May 2016, thus volunteers will have an opportunity to select a school with convenient locations.
