Join Us this Sunday!
We hope you can trudge through the snow and make it to Dharma School this Sunday, February 9th, 2014 at 10am at the Providence Zen Center! We'll integrate our play about the young Buddha with our teaching about helping others as we read the story of the Four Sights. We'll also have meditation practice centered around food (yum!), an activity about hunger, and a craft to send to families in need! Finally, we'll be setting aside the last portion of the class to work on our play. There will be lots of do for speaking-roles and non-speaking-roles alike.
SNACKS!
It's always fun to share food after the class, so if any families can volunteer to bring a few snacks for the end of class, please RSVP to this email! Thanks everyone.

Buddha's Birthday Play
We're putting on a short play about the Four Sights for Buddha's Birthday in April. Rehearsals are ongoing for the next four classes in February and March. There are plenty of jobs from speaking-roles to "extras" to costume and scenery design. Please come to help support the project and reserve the date on your calendars for April 5th!

SNOW! It looks as though there's a forecast for snow late in the day on Sunday, so it shouldn't impact our class. However, in the event that there's ever a parking ban in Cumberland, or if the PZC cancels its activities due to weather, we would cancel Dharma School for the morning. If that ever happens, we'll send out a notice via this newsletter list. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
