Recovery Retreat / Food Bank

Donation protected
It’s really sad when a Large Food bank set out to ruin a veteran run small food bank. For some strange reason they must feel threatened by our little existence. One of the main differences we have is that we deliver to the people that can’t get out to get to the food bank. We don’t get paid, like the large food bank. We are all volunteers. We give our time and our resources to our little food bank, that feed about 100+ people. Indigent, Elderly, and Handicap. These people that can’t get to the food bank, so we bring it to them. We also give to half way houses. We serve from Boise to Homedale. I guess we are such a threat to the very large food bank that they have gone out to our suppliers and told them not to give to us anymore. We only collect on Saturday and Sunday, a little on Friday. They are a Monopoly and I thought that was not legal. I guess the old saying “ No good deed go un-punished” holds very true. If you donate to this very large, Paid Corporation. Suppose to be Non-Profit, Joke, than I would think twice. Do you want to support a Large Monopoly, that want to drive out the little guy, us. I guess they don’t care about the Veterans of our state, like myself. Retired after 20 yrs of service.
