Sweet job on crab apple. I will never look at those jumps the same since I saw the Go Pro video of the guy getting bucked over the bars onto his back on one of the big hits.
Years ago, I witnessed a similar crash on the last hit of the Crabapple line. Likewise, the rider got bucked forward, rotating mid-air. He landed hard, got knocked out and had bones sticking out of his arm. We of course assisted the Whistler Bike medics and got the kid off the mountain.
Hardest part (besides the kid being like 240) was that his father was there filming his son when he crashed. At the very least, he survived, unlike another who passed away that day on the same line.
