Mustangs drop three spots to No. 15 in USTFCCCA Top 25

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Idle Midwestern State dropped three spots in the United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Top 25 released Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Mustangs, who placed fifth the last time out at the 5K Missouri Southern Stampede, compete in the Metropolitan State Pre-Regional Saturday in Denver.
 
Grand Valley State (Mich.) retained the top position as well as the rest of the top five followed by Adams State (Colo.), Western State Colorado, Minnesota-Duluth and Metropolitan State (Colo.).
 
No. 6 Chico State (Calif.), No. 7 Augustana (S.D.), No. 8 Hillsdale (Mich.), No. 9 Simon Fraser (B.C.) and No. 10 California, San Diego round out the Top 10.
 
Midwestern is one of eight teams from the South Central Region to receive mention in the poll joining No. 2 Adams State, No. 3 Western State Colorado, No. 5 Metro State, No. 18 Colorado-Colorado Springs and No. 25 Colorado Mines while West Texas A&M is receiving votes.
