Belton, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golfer Elizabeth Davis has been named American Southwest Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the week ending October 28th. Davis was honored for her performance in the Abilene Intercollegiate earlier this week.
Davis, a senior from Houston Christian High School, fired a 76-71=147 to win individual medalist honors in that tournament. Her second-round 71 matches her lowest round of the fall and ties for the sixth-lowest round in UMHB women's golf history. Davis won by four strokes to notch her first individual title of the fall and her play also helped lead the Cru women to a three-shot victory in the team standings.
The championship at the Abilene intercollegiate closed out the fall schedule for the UMHB women. The Cru posted two second-place finishes to go with that team title in four total events this fall.
