This morning I decided to accompany guests on our famous House Reef dive, to check out the status of our newly placed underwater structures and see if there’s been any progress with marine life.

WOW WOW WOW…Is all I can say.

It was non-stop action from the moment we jumped in the water. We dived for 78 minutes, and didn’t want to come up!

As soon as we descended down the mooring line, we were greeted by a small bamboo shark napping under sea grass….can you tell where is the shark in the picture? 😉

From there, we encountered countless creatures:

  • Squat lobster
  • Salt-and-Pepper commensal shrimp
  • Baby Cuttlefish
  • Peacock flounder
  • Mantis shrimp
  • Zebra crab
  • Harlequin crab
  • Elbow crab
  • Banded sea snake

And that was all in one dive!

When we surfaced, I asked one of the guests :

what did you think of that!?” and he responded, “That was phenomenal. It was like White Lembeh

It was so amazing in fact, that he requested to return to the House Reef for the afternoon dive for some more macro encounters! Lucky for him, he was the only diver signed up so we changed the dive site, AND since we had 2 dive guides available in the afternoon, we sent both guides for just one guest 😉
Just one of the benefits diving with Evolution.
