From Victoria Police – SEARCH FOR ANDREW DARLING

Victoria Police are appealing for assistance from the public as they search for Andrew Darling who left a correctional facility in country Victoria early Sunday morning.

The Fugitive Taskforce has released a photo in the search for Andrew who was last detected at the Corella Place facility on Warrak Road in Ararat shortly after 2.30am.

It is believed he left on foot and despite extensive searches of the local and surrounding area, he has not been located.

Darling has been known to bunker down in the bush for days at a time and is also known to frequent licensed venues.

The 42-year-old is described as Caucasian, about 176cm tall with a medium build, blue eyes, fair-coloured close-cropped hair and a fair complexion.

He has both his ears pierced and tattoos on his right lower leg, back and arms.

Members of the public are urged not to approach him and to phone Triple Zero (000) if he is sighted.

Investigators have released an image of him and are urging anyone who sights him to contact police immediately.

Andrew Darling has been located interstate in the past so police are keeping an open mind to his whereabouts and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
