About 2 million Palestinians living in Gaza, have been dealing with hard circumstances for more than 10 years; and life is getting harder in the place. Everyone here has encountered struggle in his life on his own scale.
Yet, I see the struggle is the 1st chapter of everyone's life; while the successes as a result of that struggle is the 2nd chapter.
And I'me here taking responsibility to light on and tell the FULL stories of people; to EMPOWER these characters, give HOPE for others living the same circumstance, and give INSPIRATION to everyone watching the stories.
Inspiration is one of the very precious things, you would gift to someone.It'll cheer him up, or move him forward towards achieving his dreams; and contribute in world change. And that's what sharing resilience stories is all about: SPREADING INSPIRATION.
We as individuals, can't change in politics; but we can NARRATE stories in a way that makes a change in lives of everyone watching.
I'm 20 years old Palestinian living in Gaza. I'm studying architecture at The Islamic University of Gaza. Besides my study, I devote my time and efforts to tell stories, written and visual stories from Gaza.
I started my journey in photography when I was 15, I was very interested in showing daily life scenes through photos. My pictures have been exposed in Palestine, Amman, Turkey, Birmingham, and London. And they were also published in different local and regional magazines.
I've been depending on my friends' equipment to make these photos and videos, and it's really tiring; because these equipment are not available for me all the time; and this delays many stories to be told.
The high taxes Israel imposes on traders, makes cameras and other kit requirements more expensive than their original prices online. Also Israel prevents entering electronics bought online, to Gaza.
I don't have job till now, and so afford the equipment; but I DO CARRY a big PASSION to TELL STORIES.
