When Jesus told the disciples that the Holy Spirit would empower them to be a witness to the validity of His announcement that salvation can be found in Jesus, He said their influence would carry from their hometown of Jerusalem, throughout the region of Judea, to their cultural antithesis' in Samaria, stretching around the globe.

It's with this heart that we've embraced this season as a Month of Hope-- doin' work from neighborhoods to nations.

Here are four-ways we are changing lives from Burlingame to across the oceans this November:
  1. A couple dozen students at Burlingame Intermediate are on the reduced lunch program, but fell delinquent in their account. So we paid off their debt so some students could have a meal without falling further behind. 
  2. Every Christmas, an incarcerated parent faces a cruel reality-- the holiday is coming and they don't have the means to buy a gift for their child. Through our Angel Tree Ministry, season we are buying gifts for children in San Mateo County on behalf of an incarcerated parent.
  3. Mercy Calcutta helps people with significant disadvantages be fed, go to school, and be treated at a hospital in one of the poorest areas of the world. We are sponsoring cleft palate surgeries, school scholarships, and human trafficking prevention through individual pledges for the next 4-weeks.
  4. And finally, this Sunday we are sending out one of our own Sacreder to preach the gospel in a spiritually dark and dangerous part of the world. He has served on our pastoral team, felt the call to church planting in desolate areas, and tomorrow we are commissioning him onto the field before he departs in the next few weeks.
WOW! How fortunate of us that we are able to be a part of God's great work in Burlingame and around the globe.

Angel Tree Tomorrow


Every year, parents in jail are left with a horrible reality: Christmas is coming, and I can't give my child a present. Angel Tree is a ministry that we participate in where we buy a present on behalf of the incarcerated parent. By giving a simple gift, we are able to spread the love of Jesus and open the door for relationship.

Look out for the Angel Tree in the lobby starting tomorrow!
