Event Description:

POSSE identifies, recruits, and trains youth leaders from urban public high schools and sends them in multicultural groups ”Posses”to highly selective colleges and universities that provide them with four-year, full-tuition scholarships. Our Alumni are changing the face of leadership in the workforce, and we are launching an exciting new campaign with them. The funds will go towards helping young students become networked Scholars, giving them the tools and resources they need to not just succeed at college, but to continue on and take on leadership positions.

What we'll be doing:

We will be stuffing invitations and stamping envelopes to our specific donor base for the Annual Power of 10 fundraiser. This event raises money for programming at Posse Chicago, and all funds raised will go towards helping young students become networked Scholars. Posse provides the tools and resources these students need to not just succeed at college, but to continue on and take on leadership positions in the workforce. With One Brick’s mailing assistance earlier this year, Posse Chicago was able to raise $281,000 at our Golf Outing—a record for our site!

What you should know:

• Our location is easy to get to via CTA, you can take the pink, orange, or brown line to LaSalle and VanBuren, the blue or red line to Jackson
• People can park on the street on Clark after 5 p.m. usually and there are a number of parking garages around
• Business casual is appropriate attire
• Our elevators require a key card to come upstairs after 6 p.m so please be on time.
