Of all the memorable images produced during last year’s Academy Awards celebration, none distilled the evening’s emotions as perfectly as Mark Seliger’s portrait of Lupita Nyong’o cradling her Oscar for best supporting actress. The image is all the more impressive when you consider that it was captured during an impromptu late-night photo session inside the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where the magazine teamed up with Seliger and Instagram to set up an instant portrait studio.

The project was such a success that V.F., Instagram, and Seliger returned for another round in 2015. Best actor Eddie Redmayne and best supporting actor J.K. Simmons were among the winners who stopped by, and they were joined by this party’s usual array of eclectic A-listers: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, Lady Gaga, Ansel Elgort, Oprah Winfrey, Rashida Jones and Natalie Portman, Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann (and Kate Upton!), Rita Ora, Jason Wu and Karlie Kloss, Steve Martin, Mindy Kaling, Conan O'Brien, and more.
