Mahwah, NJ: Rookie
Larysa Iwaskiw has been named the 2014 Division III Metro/Upstate Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Year, another award to add to the list of outstanding honors the freshman has received this season. Iwaskiw was also named to the ECAC All-Star 1st Team for her efforts this season.
Iwaskiw was previously named 2014 AVCA Division III Honorable Mention All-America by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Iwaskiw was also named AVCA New York Region Freshman of the Year, along with NJAC First Team All-Conference and NJAC Women's Volleyball Freshman of the Year.
Iwaskiw helped lead the Roadrunners to a 26-10 overall record, the second best win total in program history. She set a new Ramapo College single-season record with 543 kills, 4.53 per set. She also led the team with 68 aces, 0.57 per set, and 452 digs, 3.77 per set. Iwaskiw tallied 19 blocks including four solo blocks.
The 2014 AVCA All-America selections were made by the AVCA Division III All-America Committee based off the AVCA All-Region selections. Iwaskiw is only the second player in the history of the program to receive such an honor. The first was Kayla Anders, who was named to the AVCA Honorable Mention All-American team back in 2008.
Congratulations!
