Klapper named to USA College Football All-American Team

(Waukesha, Wis.) - Carroll University's Ryan Klapper has been named first-team USA College Football All-American, the publication announced today.
 
Klapper, a senior defensive back from Green Bay, Wis. (Ashwaubenon), finished the season with 52 tackles, good for third on the team. He intercepted five opponent passes and returned them for a total of 173 yards while also recording two forced fumbles and one blocked kick. For his efforts Klapper was named first-team All-Midwest Conference in the north division and was named Defensive Player of the Year for skill positions.
 
Selections are contributed by NCAA Division III Conferences, Head Coaches, Sports Information Directors, National, Regional and Local Broadcast & Print Media, American Football Coaches Association, Lindy's Sports, Regional Football Writers' Associations, Professional Football Franchise Scouts and Certified Players' Agents as well as the staff of USA Football Network, Inc. All seniors, with no remaining football eligibility, are candidates to participate in the 21st Annual USA Football Bowl in Jackson, MS from January 16 to January 20, 2015.
