SPATO 2014-15 Officer Nomination Application
It is that time of year again! This form is for those who wish to nominate themselves for officer positions within the Spartan Athletic Training Organization (SPATO) at San Jose State University.  Below you will find descriptions for each officer position, with the nomination application being on the second page. Please submit your nomination by Thursday, April 24, 2014.  Ballots will be sent out immediately after nominations are gathered.

*Note no current officer is guaranteed re-election. All officers must run for office again.

● President - overall function of the organization and shall preside at SPATO meetings: regular, executive, and special, shall oversee group activities, shall be a liaison between the students and staff, and shall communicate with all officers and adviser over matters such as naming special committees. President will attend all required general student association meetings with another officer of his/her choice and keep all updated. In the absence of the president, the vice president or appointed executive officers shall assume the duties of the president.
 
● Vice-President - shall assume the duties of the President in his/her absence. The Vice-President is also responsible for member relations and shall oversee all recruitment activities as well as keeping an up to date membership directory.
 
● Secretary - shall record minutes of each meeting, take role, maintain accurate records of all business pertaining to the organization as well as receive and response to all official correspondence. Minutes will be distributed to all members within 72 hours of the meeting. A hard copy of minutes will be produce by secretary and kept by the adviser.

● Treasurer - shall contact and distribute funds as directed by the organization, oversee and approve all monetary transactions, and make financial reports to the Executive Board monthly or as needed.

● VP of Public Relations - shall promote the organization through various forms of media.

● VP of Social Affairs - shall be responsible for scheduling and coordinating social events within the organization
