IDEX 2017: New special ops jammer launched

UK-based company Kirintec has unveiled its new Special Operations Jammer at IDEX in Abu Dhabi.

The company already has a range of specialist jamming equipment, the Mercury Blade and Ventura, however the capabilities of the new Special Operations Jammer focuses on the domination of the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) and radio waves, 20MHz – 2.7GHz.

These EMS and radio waves may be used to trigger Remote-controlled Improvised Explosive Devices, or alternatively it will see others attempt to interrupt enemy electromagnetic communication systems. The new jamming equipment was designed specifically with special operations teams in mind according to the company.
